Hetch Hetchy Water and Power reports as follows:
The snow melt is hanging on just a little bit keeping flows up slightly. The big change is a flow reduction from Cherry which will occur during daytime hours on Aug 6 – beginning ramp down after 8 am. Please
be aware of the ramp down on the lower portion of the river. If you are putting in on Sunday, you will still see the higher flows. The flow reduction will not be seen at Lumsden until early afternoon – it is roughly 5-6 hours of travel time at the higher flow
from Cherry to Lumsden. The reason for the reduction from Cherry is to allow work to begin. This lower flow range is expected to continue through August 27th, but is subject to change. There will be increased releases once again from Cherry following
the completion of the work.
