Hetch Hetchy Water and Power reported on May 17 as follows:
Please see table below for an update to HHWP release schedules affecting flows on Cherry Creek and the Tuolumne River. Hetch Hetchy Reservoir valve releases will decrease to approximately 2,700 cfs beginning Saturday, May 18th.
KPH and HPH generation will continue to experience unusual flow schedules due to unfavorable power prices during daytime hours. Cherry Reservoir valve releases have decreased to approximately 400 cfs and Lake Eleanor valve releases will remain as-is, with
spill expected to persist but decline slightly.
The table given is a best estimate of flows through Memorial Day weekend. We will provide updates if significant changes arise.
