Hetch Hetchy Water and Power reported on June 18 as follows:

Significant changes to HHWP releases this week will affect flows on Cherry Creek and the Tuolumne River. Please see the table below for estimated releases from HHWP facilities. Valve releases are being decreased from Cherry and Hetch Hetchy to promote additional refill at both reservoirs. Forecasted cooling trends have led to decreases in expected inflows at all locations for the next 6-10 days. As conditions evolve, we will keep you updated as to any additional operational changes.

At Lake Eleanor, flashboards were installed today to begin raising lake elevation toward the summer storage level. As a result, releases from Lake Eleanor are expected to decrease to approximately 650 – 700 cfs.

Weekday KPH and HPH power generation will continue to be maximized, with ongoing decreases expected on weekends. The table includes the minimum daily powerdraft release estimate for each powerhouse for Saturday.
