| Boatable spill flows may occur on the NF Kings below Balch afterbay starting january 22 and continue for two weeks. Spills probably will occur but are not guaranteed. Time of day can be variable and spills can range from 300 cfs up to a maximum of 900 cfs.
PG&E reports that maintenance on the Kings River powerhouse will start Jan 22 and go for two weeks. During the maintenance period, NF Kings flows cannot be diverted from the Balch afterbay. Spill will occur any time upstream powerhouses operate.
Two sections of the river can be boated during these spills.
