Good morning,
Update on HHWP release schedules.
- Holm Powerhouse cycling pattern will change Tuesday, April 21. Pulses of 140-150 MW will still begin at 16:00 but will end at 21:00.
- To summarize, please expect approximately 900 cfs discharge from Holm from 4 pm – 9 pm, and 100 cfs otherwise.
- We will provide notifications to expected changes to this pattern.
- Lake Eleanor spill is expected to increase again this week in response to warmer temperatures driving additional snowmelt runoff.
- Spill rates are uncertain, but approximately 200 cfs is expected by end of week.
- Reservoir valve releases remain at minimum in-stream requirements (HH: 35 cfs; CH: 5 cfs; EL: 20 cfs).
- Hetch Hetchy stream release requirement increases to 50 cfs on May 1.
- No spill from Kirkwood Powerhouse
Projection below is a current best estimate (subject to change) for flows at the Cherry/Tuolumne confluence below Early Intake. Error bars may be larger than advertised. Discharge at Merals Pool will be higher due to additions from downstream
reach gains and South Fork confluence flows.
As always, all flow rates are best estimates and are subject to change as operational needs or constraints arise.
