Updates to planned HHWP releases are detailed below.
Please be advised that releases from Hetch Hetchy Reservoir will persist in the 1,300-1,700 cfs range today, and 1,000-1,300 through the weekend, which is higher than previously noted for this time period.
Hetch Hetchy Reservoir
- Valve releases will ramp down very gradually from the environmental release performed on May 12
- Friday May 13
- Flows are 1,700 cfs as of this morning
- Decreasing to ~1,300 cfs after noon
- Saturday May 12 – Wednesday May 18
- Flows expected to remain in the 1,000 - 1,300 cfs range
- Decreases are possible if required to promote storage increases
- Kirkwood Powerhouse spill will range between 0-500 cfs
- Flows ~550 cfs 5 PM - 10 AM
- Flows 0 cfs 10 AM - 5 PM
Lake Eleanor
- Full and spilling approximately 50 cfs
- Spill is expected to increase by 50-100 cfs over the weekend as a warming trend takes hold
Cherry Reservoir
- Valve releases at approximately 7 cfs
- Holm Powerhouse will cycle between approximately 50-950 cfs
- Flows ~950 cfs 6 PM - 8 AM
- Flows ~450 cfs 8 AM - 9AM
- Flows ~50-100 cfs 9 AM - 5 PM
- Flows ~450 cfs 5 PM-6 PM
All stated flows are best estimates and may be subject to change as operational constraints or needs arise.
