A couple of clarifications to today’s earlier messaging below, pertaining to timing of Holm Powerhouse releases.
Updates to planned HHWP releases for the coming week.
Note: HPH outage planned for May 25-26. Details below.
Cherry Reservoir
- Valve releases at approximately 7 cfs
- Holm Powerhouse will cycle between approximately 50-950 cfs
- Flows ~950 cfs 6 PM –
8 7 AM - Flows ~450 cfs 7 AM - 9AM
- Flows ~50-150 cfs 9 AM - 5 PM
- Flows ~450 cfs 5 PM-6 PM
- POWERHOUSE OUTAGE:
- Holm will be out of service from May 25 at 12:00 (noon) through May 26 at 24:00
- Generation will resume on May 27
- RECREATIONAL RELEASES:
- Recreational releases to begin on May 27
- ~950 cfs releases 7am-11am
- First “No Water Wednesday will occur on June 1
Hetch Hetchy Reservoir
- Valve releases remain elevated after last week’s Upper Tuolumne River Ecosystem Program release
- Flows below O’Shaughnessy will be in the 1,000-1,300 cfs range for the coming week
- If significant reductions to releases become necessary, additional notice will be provided as soon as possible
- Kirkwood Powerhouse spill will range between 0-500 cfs
- Flows ~500 cfs 5 PM - 10 AM
- Flows 0 cfs 10 AM - 5 PM
Lake Eleanor
- Full and spilling approximately 150 cfs
- Eleanor stream release is expected to fluctuate between 50-200 cfs for the coming week
All stated flows are best estimates and may be subject to change as operational constraints or needs arise.
