Hetch Hetchy Water and Power reported on June 6 as follows:
Good morning,
A weekend weather event that was warmer and wetter than advertised has produced substantial increases in HHWP reservoir inflows. Please be advised that Tuolumne River flows will be much higher than previously noted, as Hetch Hetchy Reservoir
spillway discharge follows run-of-river flow rates and Cherry and Eleanor Reservoir releases increase to prevent excessive reservoir elevation.
Flows at the Cherry-Tuolumne confluence are expected to be in the 2,500-3,000 cfs range through mid-week. HHWP will provide additional release projections this week after additional forecast/information are available.
Hetch Hetchy
Cherry Reservoir
Lake Eleanor
As always, stated flow rates are best estimates and are subject to change as operational conditions and constraints evolve.
