Flows below Hetch Hetchy Reservoir are steadily receding and expected to continue to do so this week and weekend as the reservoir continues to discharge over the spillway.

 

Flows below Holm Powerhouse have been reduced to 400 cfs from midnight until 4 PM daily, see details below.

 

We strive to keep the user community updated on projected flows on the Tuolumne River. Flows will continue to subside over the coming weeks as snowmelt runoff recedes and reservoirs are operated at full or nearly full capacities. Stated flow rates are best estimates and are subject to change as conditions and operational constraints evolve.

 

Hetch Hetchy Reservoir

• Reservoir is full and spilling
• Total release (valves + spill) are approximately 1,000 cfs
• Expected to remain in a range of 200-1,000 cfs through the weekend
• Kirkwood Powerhouse
• Spill of approx. 550 cfs will occur around-the-clock until further notice

 

Cherry Reservoir

• Valve releases below Cherry Reservoir are at approx. 15 cfs
• Additional notifications to follow if significant changes are made

• Holm Powerhouse
• 400 cfs from 9 PM until 4 PM the following day
• 950 cfs from 4 PM until 9 PM

 

Lake Eleanor

• Valve releases below Lake Eleanor have been reduced to approximately 30 cfs
• Additional notifications to follow if significant changes are made
