Good afternoon,

Hetch Hetchy Reservoir remains full this week, with water discharging over the spillway. Flows below the reservoir continue to recede, with some variability, as snowmelt runoff comes close to an end. Chances for thunderstorms this weekend have slight potential to produce increased spill rates this Friday-Monday.

Flows below Holm Powerhouse will continue to produce maximum power generation pulses 07:00-11:00 every day through Labor Day, with the exception of August 23^rd for the last slated ‘No Water Wednesday.’

We strive to keep the user community updated on projected flows on the Tuolumne River. Stated flow rates are best estimates and are subject to change as conditions and operational constraints evolve.

Hetch Hetchy Reservoir

Reservoir is full and spilling

Total release (valves + spill) are approximately 210 cfs

Expected to remain in a range of 200-250 cfs through the weekend*
*If weekend thunderstorms produce heavier-than-expected rainfall, spill rates could be higher
Notices will be provided if spill rates increase dramatically (forecasts indicate relatively light precip totals, but are somewhat uncertain)

Kirkwood Powerhouse

Spill will reduce incrementally this week

Approx. 200-250 cfs spill 4 PM - 9 PM
Zero spill otherwise

Cherry Reservoir

Valve releases below Cherry Reservoir are at approx. 17 cfs

Holm Powerhouse

Normal flows during rafting hours (0700-1100) will continue, with additional evening pulses to follow power demands

Approx. 950 cfs from 7 AM - 11 AM
60 cfs from 11 AM - 4 PM
500-700 cfs from 4 PM - 9 PM
60 cfs 9 PM - 7 AM the following day

Lake Eleanor

Valve releases below Lake Eleanor remain at approx. 21 cfs
