Below are planned releases from HHWP facilities through April 17^th.

We strive to keep the user community updated on projected flows on the Tuolumne River. Flows will continue to vary significantly over the coming weeks as weather changes and spring runoff season begins.

 

Stated flow rates are best estimates and are subject to change as conditions and operational constraints evolve.

 

Hetch Hetchy Reservoir

• Total flows immediately below Hetch Hetchy 120 cfs; starting April 1 flows will increase to 140 cfs.
• Additional releases may be possible pending inflows and operational conditions; notifications to be provided as needed.
• Kirkwood Powerhouse

• Spill of approximately:
• 0000-0600: 500-600 cfs
• 0600-0700: 250-350 cfs
• 0700-1700: ~0 cfs
• 1700-0000: 500-600 cfs

 

Cherry Reservoir

• Total flows below Cherry 7 cfs.
• Additional releases may be possible pending inflows and operational conditions; notifications to be provided as needed.

• Holm Powerhouse. One-unit operations scheduled to end tomorrow (3/26). Max spill on one unit is 450-550 cfs.
• Approximate daily spill cycle:
• 0000-0900: 700-1000 cfs
• 0900-1600: 250-350 cfs
• 1600-0000: 700-1000 cfs
• Starting this Sunday (4/13/2024)
• Around the clock: 850 - 1000 cfs

 

Lake Eleanor

• Valve releases of 400+ cfs
• Spill approximately 0-1000 cfs
• Total flow below Eleanor approximately 400-1400 cfs
