Below are planned releases from HHWP facilities through June 5.

We strive to keep the user community updated on projected flows on the Tuolumne River.

Flows will continue to remain elevated and may vary significantly over the coming weeks as weather changes and spring runoff season progresses.

 

Stated flow rates are best estimates and are subject to change as conditions and operational constraints evolve.

 

Hetch Hetchy Reservoir

• Flows immediately below Hetch Hetchy are approximately 2,000 cfs
• Releases are expected to remain at this rate for the next 5 to 7 days
• HHWP will provide notice if changes to this schedule arise
• Kirkwood Powerhouse

• Spill of approximately 600-700 cfs around the clock May 29-31
• Saturday June 1 – Sunday June 2: spill will reduce to 0 cfs from 09:00-17:00, 600-700 cfs otherwise

 

Cherry Reservoir

• Total flows immediately below Cherry are approximately 840 cfs
• Releases are scheduled to remain at this rate through the weekend, unless noted otherwise
• Reductions possible early next week; notices to be provided as needed

• Holm Powerhouse

• Spill of approximately 900-1,000 cfs around the clock May 29-31
• Saturday June 1 – Sunday June 2: spill will reduce to 70 cfs from 09:00-17:00, 900-1,000 cfs otherwise

 

Lake Eleanor

• Run-of-river operation with full storage
• Valve releases of approximately 610 cfs
• Spill is expected to range from 0 to 200 cfs

• Flows are currently approximately 5,500-6,000 cfs
• Flows expected to remain in this range May 29-31
• Flows expected to decrease toward approximately 4,000-4,500 cfs ~11:00-18:00 Saturday & Sunday June 1-2
