Below are planned releases from HHWP facilities through June 14. An additional update will be provided later in the week.

We strive to keep the user community updated on projected flows on the Tuolumne River.

Flows will be variable over the coming weeks as HHWP works to manage reservoir storages and spill rates during the recession of snowmelt runoff.

 

Stated flow rates are best estimates and are subject to change as conditions and operational constraints evolve.

 

Hetch Hetchy Reservoir

• Flows immediately below Hetch Hetchy are approximately 900 cfs
• Flow schedule to be updated midweek, small valve reductions are possible
• Reservoir is expected to fill and spill by end of week
• Spill rates of 250-750 cfs (in addition to valves), depending on natural reservoir inflows
• Kirkwood Powerhouse

• Spill of approximately 600-700 cfs around the clock through at least midweek
• Spill may reduce to 0 cfs 09:00-17:00 on weekends; more details to follow

 

Cherry Reservoir

• Total flows immediately below Cherry have been reduced to approximately 20 cfs
• Flows likely to decrease to 5-10 cfs midweek

• Holm Powerhouse

• Spill of approximately 1,000 cfs around the clock
• Holm spill rates may be reduced by the weekend; more details to follow

 

Lake Eleanor

• Valve releases below Eleanor have been reduced to approximately 200 cfs
• Expect variable valve releases between 50-250 cfs over the coming week

Meral’s Pool (best estimates, actual flows may differ)

• Flows are expected to level off to approximately 3,000-3,500 cfs throughout the week
• Weekend flows (June 15-16) will be variable due to power generation cycling and Hetch Hetchy spill
• More details to follow later in the week
