Good morning,
Below are planned releases from HHWP facilities through June 19.
For permitting and access information contact the Groveland Ranger District.
We strive to keep the user community updated on projected flows on the Tuolumne River.
Flows will continue to vary over the coming weeks as HHWP works to manage reservoir storages and spill rates during the recession of snowmelt runoff.
Stated flow rates are best estimates and are subject to change as conditions and operational constraints evolve.
Hetch Hetchy Reservoir
- Flows immediately below Hetch Hetchy are approximately 570 cfs
- Flows will reduce to approximately 450 cfs today, June 13
- Additional minor reductions possible
- Reservoir is expected to fill and spill by early next week
- Spill rates of 250-500 cfs (in addition to valves), depending on natural reservoir inflows
- Kirkwood Powerhouse
- Weekdays: spill of approximately 600-700 cfs around the clock
- Saturday-Sunday: spill will reduce to 0 cfs 09:00-17:00 Saturday-Sunday
Cherry Reservoir
- Total flows immediately below Cherry have been reduced to approximately 10 cfs
- Weekdays: spill of approximately 1,000 cfs around the clock
- Saturday-Sunday:
- 00:00-09:00: 1,000 cfs
- 09:00-11:00: 480 cfs
- 11:00-17:00: 80 cfs
- 17:00-24:00: 1,000 cfs
- *Note that flows below Holm are expected to be low after 11:00 am Saturday-Sunday
Lake Eleanor
- Valve releases below Eleanor are at approximately 280 cfs
- Expect variable valve releases between 20-250 cfs over the coming week
