There is some wood stuck midway down Beginner's Luck, right between the raft line and the kayak line at the pourover. Looks like you can get around it but there is not a lot of room for error and it poses a moderate hazard.

Thanks for the heads up, Matt. We ran today. The wood is visible, barely, from a kayak in the pool above the "main ledge," after entering thru the two entry ledge holes. We ran the "normal" kayak line - far left on the main ledge, missing the wood. However, it is a real hazard and I don't mean to make light of it. Rafts (unlikely this season) would have more issue for their "normal" line. There is a giant tree in the river between "Blow Your Lunch" (guide books call it The Thing)and "Whiteout" in class I water. Kayaks can get around or through, rafts no way. Was great to be on the N Stan again, after no season last year. Happy paddling....
