Does anybody know how to get flow projections for the Lower Kern (Sandy flat to Democrat run)? I've contacted the Kern River Watermaster, but all he can provide is monthly averages several months in advance. Not fine-grained enough for me.

There's no flow projections, best bet is historical data. My guess is 600 CFS for Oct then 450 or matching inflow through the winter until we get an idea of what our snowpack looks like.

Bummer. Guessing release patterns is especially hard in the fall after a major water year, since they need to draw the reservoir down to winter pool levels at some point, and a lot of water in the reservoir translates to a lot of water they have to release. But (in detail) how much will they release, for how long, and when? Hard to know without insider information.
