Hello Members, does anyone know if Ponderosa Rd to lower Deer Creek is open and clear of snow or fallen trees?? We hope to run it this weekend April 27th & 28th. Also are there any known hazards as of April 2019 we should be aware of?

We tried to drive into Middle Deer Creek on Ponderosa rd and were blocked by a very large landslide with a very big rock in it. The kayak's with us hiked the final mile to the creek and reported it "A big pain in the ass" having to negotiate many downed oak trees across the road. I'm not sure if the road's been cleared yet. A short wheel base 4wd truck with high clearance and non-slip traction gearing is recommended. Good Luck! PS. we were bummed out missing it at 1000 CFS and perfect spring weather.
