We paddled from Big Bend to James Black powerhouse today and there is a strainer in Bad Alder blocking the right side of the main channel at 450cfs. From the top it looks like there is a small gap between the strainer and the right shore but when you get down to it the gap is actually part of the strainer. I was able to boof it and 4wd over the log in my IK but it's a pretty sketchy spot. Shouldn't be to hard to clear with a hand saw next time.

The flow was 1600cfs yesterday and we took the righthand channel just downstream from the put in and it had some fun class II action and avoided the whole mess. I recommend this route until the strainer is clear.
