SMUD confirmed today as follows:

"The May update to Bulletin 120 has been issued.  The forecast of inflows into Folsom Lake now stand at 2,010,000 ac-ft for the 2009-2010 water year.  This forecast places the current water year into the Below Normal Water Year Type category".

This upgrades the water year type from DRY to BELOW NORMAL, and that's great news. We get better releases on the SFA below Chili Bar as a result, and this new designation should be good until February 2011. I'll update the Chili Bar release schedule to match the new designation soon, but the current schedule is still good for the next several days (until Thursday 20th May in fact).
