Water Management and Access Issues:

1.  Flow rate estimates and timing are at the confluence of the Tuolumne River and Cherry Creek.  It is assumed that it takes approximately two hours for water to travel from the confluence to Meral’s Pool (a.k.a. Lumsden Boat Launch).

2.  Flow at the confluence is a combination of power house releases and other streamflow releases.  Unless otherwise noted, expect most of the flow to come down Cherry Creek, i.e. from Holm Powerhouse.

3.  This is a low water year, so the "other streamflows releases" referred to in the previous item aren't expected to be huge, but they may nevertheless be significant, especially during May and June.  Before heading out, be sure to check the relevant Dreamflows flow report and Bulletin Board thread to determine current and expected release trends.

4.  Flows beyond the schedule outlined above are at HHWP’s operational discretion.

5.  Users should be aware that sudden changes in powerhouse or dam releases may occur at any time due to emergency mechanical or electrical conditions.  Scheduled or unplanned rapid changes in water levels and flow rates can create hazards, and users are urged to use caution and to wear all appropriate personal protective equipment.
