Kevin Greggerson running the second part of Drainpipe on Golden Gate
(the first part is a boof off of a 10ft shelf rock directly upstream). His
route takes him between the water exploding against the wall on his left,
and an undercut, house-sized boulder to his right. After that he will
enter a sloping ramp (pocked with a hole and some very large waves) that
goes for a good 40 yards, and then eddy out on river right. This is just
one of several heavy-duty rapids on this Class V+ run. - Photo: Robert Payne
