An overview of Lewis' Leap rapid. The Leap itself is the falls in the exact
center of this photo. The boof (a good one) is the much shorter falls directly
upstream. The rapid extends all the way from the horizon line, through a
jumble of rocks, over or around the boof, over or around the Leap, through the
squirrely water below the Leap, off to the left side of the photo, and down
a final ramp to a large recovery pool. One of the longest and most
memorable rapids on the Cherry Creek run. - Photo: Denise Boynton
