South Fork Yuba

Torrey Carroll at the bottom of Corner Pocket, a.k.a. Right to Life, on 49 to Bridgeport.  He comes out just fine, but this rapid has caused many swims, dislocations and some broken paddles.  It can be a violent surf in that bottom hole, and it doesn't help that the wall, just below on river left, is undercut.  - Photo: Robert Payne
