| | Strainer hazards between miles 3 and 6. Most serious hazard is just below Cable Bridge Drive (see Google map) and one bend above sculpture garden. Mandatory portage as flow (around 500 CFS on 5/21/17) pulls you right into wall on river left and into a tree strainer. Gravel bar on river right allows for portaging. Some other strainers in lower section, including an avoidable strainer in the first bend after sculpture garden. Several strainers had been washed downstream into the 2nd half of the run.
