Just a heads up but forebay road which is the take out for Golden Gate is currently closed for the rest of the summer and has been that way. The only other access point is slab Creek Dam Road which is also closed for the summer. If you are looking to do Golden Gate your best option for a takeout is to paddle about 4 miles on slab Creek Reservoir then potage the dam on the right then paddle slab Creek run at low flows then take out at mosquito Road. It's a long day but not as bad as it sounds.
