| Mike Howard, Sector Superintendent in the Auburn State Recreation Area, writes today as follows:
| Quote: | As you likely have heard this morning, State Parks is closing all parking areas throughout the state. At Auburn SRA we will
begin implementing closure of all gates, parking areas and roadside parking in the Confluence tomorrow. The park will remain
open to entry by bike, horse and foot at this time, but everyone is strongly encouraged to stay very local if they want to get
out of the house and not travel to ASRA. If this level of closure still doesn’t disperse people, the department will consider a
hard closure. Let’s hope we don’t get there. |
