| A new tree is across the river roughly a half mile below Big Springs. It's possible to paddle over on the right, but you are paddling over the partially submerged top half of it and there are a lot of branches (still green). Also an easy portage on the left where there is an eddy immediately above the tree.
There is also not one, or two, but three kayaks wrapped on different rocks over the course of the next mile. Looks like they have been there a year plus judging from the moss growing on them. Would love to hear their story...
