Perhaps I'm remembering this thing wrong, but I ran it a few years ago, then again at 800 CFS a few days ago. It seems significantly more awkward and worse this time.

The eddy staging into the ferry seemed much less cooperative, pushing us upstream and making it very difficult to get the right approach angle.

I was with a crew of eight good to excellent kayakers, and every single one of us found it terrifying.

One of us had an extremely close call in there.

Even if it's no worse than before, please proceed with caution, making sure anyone who puts in is ready for a very difficult maneuver with extreme consequence.
