| Because of the Basin Fire, Sierra National Forest has closed all roads and trails in the area of the Kings River from Pine Flat to the confluence with the Middle Fork Kings. Most roads and trails below Dinkey Creek Rd, from the Big Creek area to the NF Kings are also closed.

At this time, there is no closure on the south side of the river in Sequoia National Forest. That would change if the fire jumps the river to the south side.
With this closure there is no access to the Banzai section of the Kings River. Trimmer Springs Road is closed to the public at the Big Creek junction.

| The Kings River shuttle road for the Banzai run is open approximately to Hermits Hole. This is according to the Sierra National Forest Headquarters ranger station in Clovis, California, on 3/6/2025.
Zooming in to the area near the southern extreme of the map at this link, there is indication of how far the road is open.
