| It's not rafting season, but too unique not to post. If anyone can confirm the location, please comment! I am guessing it will be gone before the next boat-able flow.
From the post 10/24/24: "OSPR crew responded to a helicopter accident in the East Fork of the Carson River in Alpine County. The incident took place when a fisherman landed his helicopter on an embankment of the river, and the aircraft slid into the waterway. It stayed upright and no fuel has appeared to have spilled, but the maximum potential release is 30 gallons. Multiple agencies continue to work together on a salvage plan. No observed impacts to wildlife at this time.

That’s definitely a wild situation! The East Fork of the Carson River makes sense as the location, given Alpine County and the mention of a fisherman landing a helicopter (which is already crazy enough). If anyone is familiar with that stretch of the river, especially around common fishing spots, they might be able to confirm the exact spot.
