Just past Ney Creek on the Upper Sacramento River Box Canyon run there is a log blocking the right channel. Take the left channel past Ney Creek. At any flow above 4.2 on the gauge this log will not be negotiable. The rapid above it pushes right into it. The log is not visible until you are in the rapid above it. TAKE THE LEFT CHANNEL! AFTER NEY CREEK wich is a few rapids above Cantara.
