| As part of relicensing, SMUD has made realtime flow available to us via CDEC (thank you both SMUD and CDEC). This is a physical gauge, measuring actual flow. As a result, Dreamflows is now reporting accurate flow below Slab Creek dam.
Previously, Dreamflows reported a computation of spill to the river based on Slab Creek reservoir elevation, plus an estimate of fish flow releases. While helpful, this didn't take actual release to the river via the dam into account (because that information wasn't available to us). This problem goes away now we have a real gauge below the dam.
