new log on the 'lowbin' section
rock creek section has 4 mini-sections: roger's flat, tobin, 'lowbin', buck's creek powerhouse
the log is below the greenbridge at the start of 'lowbin' between storrie bridge and buck's creek powerhouse
(below storrie bridge the first rapid had a log in it for years, but now it's gone.)
LOG IS IN THE THIRD (LAST) BIG RAPID BETWEEN STORRIE BRIDGE AND BUCK'S CREEK POWERHOUSE.
log is at river level at 350 cfs, just barely sticking out into the main line. you can see it clearly from the road. don't know what it will look like at release flows - hopefully it will wash out.

We paddled that section at both 800 CFS & 1200 CFS on 5/2/09. There were no trees that were serious issues, and the ones in the river were avoidable. happy paddling!
