| Placer County Water Agency reports today as follows:
| Quote: | Good morning all,
The start of rafting the Middle Fork American River out of Oxbow Powerhouse was delayed by 30 minutes this morning, Sunday September 4, 2022. We expect Oxbow to remain at full load through this evening's peak energy use to support the California grid operator due to the ongoing heatwave event. PCWA expects to adhere to the rafting start times for the remainder of this rafting season as outlined in our FERC License.
We apologize for any inconvenience the delay may have caused. |

This email is to let you know that due to the Mosquito fire near Oxbow and the associated road closures, rafting from Oxbow on the Middle Fork American River for Wednesday September 7th, 2022 is cancelled.
We will keep you updated, but this is all the information we have at this time. |

We were hoping for better news today, but the Mosquito Fire has increased in size over the past 24 hours and will continue to impact PCWA's rafting operations for the foreseeable future. For this reason, rafting from Oxbow on the Middle Fork American River is cancelled for Thursday September 8th, 2022 and Friday September 9th, 2022.
We will keep you updated, and will be in contact about this weekend once we get closer. |
