Posted: Jul 24, 2007 Post Subject: Hazard - Downed Tree on Mokelumne Electra Run Above S-Turn Rapid

We ran the Electra Powerhouse run on the Mokelumne River on Sunday 7/22/07. There is a tree nearly across the river about a 100' above S-Turn Rapid. There is a 20' gap on river left that is easy to get through, but a beginner might get into trouble.

9/16/07
We did the run again today. Someone has used a saw to remove about half of the tree shown in the picture. Now the tree is only across the right 1/3 of the river, making for much safer passage.
