| | The completely updated 3rd Edition of the American River Guide to the North, Middle and South Forks has just been published. The whitewater section contains a detailed mile by mile boating guide to the North Fork American, along with river history, geology, and color illustrations of riparian plants and animals. Available from PARC (Protect American River Canyons) at: www.parc-auburn.org, and at local book and boating stores. All proceeds go to protect the American River.
