| | The completely updated 3rd Edition of the American River Guide to the North, Middle and South Forks has just been published. The whitewater section contains a detailed mile by mile boating guide to the North Fork American, including a new description of the Confluence to Rattlesnake Bar run, ( run when Folsom elevation is below 385 ft to avoid flatwater paddle-out) along with river history, geology, and color illustrations of riparian plants and animals. Available from PARC (Protect American River Canyons) at: www.parc-auburn.org, and at local book and boating stores. All proceeds go to protect the American River.
