| We were turned away by PG&E employees at a gate to take out by lake spaulding. The lake had been drained to repair the dam and they do not want people walking on the sediment "bathtub ring" of the reservoir. There is nowhere to park along the road and they threatened to call the sheriff if we paddled across the lake. A group yesterday got through okay. CHP had been called regarding their parked cars, but decided not to do anything based on the location.

| The gate is now unlocked but closed (please close gate after entering/leaving) so access to the packing lot is available now to set shuttle to run Fordyce until water has been transferred into Spaulding (estimate flows until around 10/24). Anticipate a little increase in releases over these next couple of days. Be safe and have fun!
