May 13, 2023, two rafts and two kayaks. Ran Herst Castle section. 5 Major River wide log jams currently in river. First on is below a right bend. Catch Eddy on river right. To set up for R. Left portage. The rest are easily spotted. But at lower flows may be problematic. The biggest one is 3 logs deep. And creates a low head dam situation. Sneak portage on R. Left. Use extreme vigilance floating this section. CFS this day was around 1200
