There is a dangerous log blocking the usual left line of the first big rapid on the NF Salmon River gorge run. This rapid is sometimes called the Nine Mile Rapid or Boulder Gulch Rapid.

It is the first significant rapid you encounter on this run (assuming you put-in at the 10 Mile Marker (Gallia Mine/Engine Fill Site) access. Read about access issues for this run's put-in here: http://www.dreamflows.com/forums/viewTopic.php?topic=347

The log is in the left hand channel where you typically boof the ledge over the hole. Scout it and run a different channel if water levels allow or portage.
