Sunrise: 7:36 A.M. Sunset: 4:43 P. M.
The Air Temperature Was 35 Degrees!
The Water Temperature At The N.F. Confluence Was 38 Degrees!
And The Smith River Was At (7 Feet 6 Inches) At 8:00 A.M. Today,
On The Gauge (On The Big Pipes) At The Water Treatment Plant,
At The Confluence Of The North And Middle Fork Of The River!
(There Is 2 Inches Of Snow At The North & Middle Fork Confluence!)
(The River Is At A Low Level For Rafting & Kayaking Today!)

The N.F. Of The Smith River Rose 5 Inches!
From 8:00 A.M. Yesterday To 8:00 A.M. Today!
And There Was 1.64 Inches Of Precipitation!
From 8:00 A.M. Yesterday To 8:00 A.M. Today!
There Is A 90% Chance Of Snow Showers Expected Today!
There Is A 50% Chance Of Snow Showers Expected Tonight!
Light Snow Is Possible Along The Coast, With Snow Accumulations Up
To 1 Inch At Elevations Above 500 Ft. Interior Locations Can
Expect Snow Accumulations Of 2 To 4 Inches Below 2000 Feet,

THE ROAD TO THE NORTH FORK! IS KIND OF OPEN!
I Laid Down For 2 Hours To Rest Yesterday Morning After Driving
All Night To Keep The Road Open And Had 2 ½ Inches Of Snow
In My Yard So I Got Up And Went Back Up Gasquet Mountain Again!
And I Was Unable To Go Back Up What I Had Just Driven Down!
So I Drove Up And Around Low Divide To The North Fork Put In!
Then Came Back Out And Down Gasquet Mountain Road To Try
To Open What I Could Not Go Up Previously In The Morning!
I Just Now Got Back From Trying To Go Up Gasquet Mountain Again!
And Came To The Conclusion That My Ability To Do So Successfully.
Was Very Minimal At Best! As Was My Ability To Back Down
What I Could Not Go Up In The Dark! It Was Foggy And Snowing So Hard
That I Could Only See About 30 Feet Ahead In My Headlights!
And The Snow Was 7 Inches Deep Just 2 Miles Up The Mountain!
On Very Steep Black Top! “The Road Should Have Never Been Paved!”
(Low Divide Is Open To Four Wheel Drives! With Good Snow Tires!)
(I Will Go Up Gasquet Mountain To Try To Open The Road Today!)
(And Will Drive Low Divide Again Also! To Try To Keep It Open!)
(And Maybe Again Tonight! If Necessary! To Try To Keep It Open!)
