|

| The California Senate and Assembly have overwhelmingly passed a ban on suction dredge mining in California's rivers and now we're waiting for Gov. Schwarzenegger to sign the ban into law. It's time to lend your support! We're almost there!
Take a quick minute to send an automatic letter to the Gov, letting him know that you don't want our state's rivers full of suction dredges. Here's the link: www.klamathriver.org/actionalerts/sb670/index.html.
This new law would temporarily ban suction dredging while the state conducts a court-ordered environmental review of the mining practice and issues new regulations to protect fisheries and water quality. California currently has some of the most slack regulations of suction dredging in the US.
Californians: send those letters!!! www.klamathriver.org/actionalerts/sb670/index.html
Some of California's best whitewater rivers are at stake (Salmon, Trinity, Klamath, Scott, Yubas, Feather, American, Kern, and many, many more).
