Scott Harding observed that the existing So. Salmon - Below Methodist Creek estimate reported by Dreamflows, which is based on historical USGS data, seems to always be lower than actual. So, he has developed a formula for a new virtual gage located 6 miles downstream, at the South Fork bridge at Forks Of Salmon. Dreamflows is reporting this new estimated flow site as So. Salmon - At Forks of Salmon. Note that this is a work in progress; the formula may well change as the season progresses. For now, Dreamflows is reporting both estimated flow sites - feel free to comment on the relative merits as the season progresses.

The new So. Salmon - At Forks of Salmon estimated flow site appears to be more reliable than the old So. Salmon - Below Methodist Creek one. Consequently, Dreamflows has discontinued So. Salmon - Below Methodist Creek in favor of the new site.
