| A new visual gauge was installed this summer, to replace the gauge that was washed out in last year's flood. Unfortunatley it reads one ft. short of what the USGS/dreamflows realtime gauge reads. So if you are up on the Salmon this winter/spring beware that if the visual gauge looks like 6 ft. The actual flow is closer to 7 ft.

| Update on the previous message. The visual gauge on salmon river road just up from somes bar reads about 1/2 foot lower than the dreamflows/usgs reading on the computer. This can make a significant difference when on the river. The run is still great.
