Hello Dreamflows

Please update your North Fork Trinity River flow estimates with the new USGS rating from
http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwisweb/get_ratings?site_no=11526500&file_type=exsa
Your estimates are much higher than the USGS's gage.

The USGS is still operating the "seasonal low flow" gage on the North Fork trinity so people should go their webpage until its corrected.

Thanks

Thanks for reporting. Here's the story:

USGS has been treating this flow site as seasonal, so Dreamflows has been reporting CDEC's year-round data instead: http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/queryF?NTR

As can be seen, for (say) 9pm tonight (gauge height 4.81 ft), CDEC reports 549 cfs, while USGS reports 437 cfs. This is the discrepancy you report.

[Your assumptions that Dreamflows is estimating this flow site, or that it's using an internal rating table to report flow, were once true but are currently incorrect. Dreamflows has been reporting "actual" flow exactly as reported by CDEC.]

Evidently CDEC's rating table is out-of-date, so have switched to reporting data from USGS instead. More problems? Let me know.
